Bat Speed Elite

Select the day of the week, and timeslot you'd like for your class.

Next class starts June 1st, 2026!

Increase your bat speed by 3-5 MPH (or 15-25' of a batted ball) in 6 weeks!

Build a Faster Swing. Hit the Ball Harder.

Bat Speed Elite is The Line Training’s specialized performance class designed to help softball players increase their bat speed by developing the strength, explosiveness, and mechanics required to move the bat faster through the zone.

This high-intensity training program focuses on strengthening the specific muscle groups used in the swing, including the core, hips, shoulders, forearms, and hands. Athletes will participate in a structured combination of:

  • Overspeed and underspeed bat training
  • Rotational strength development
  • Explosive medicine ball drills
  • Grip and forearm strengthening
  • Swing efficiency and mechanics work

By increasing bat speed, players can generate greater exit velocity, drive the ball with more authority, and improve overall offensive performance.

Who Should Attend?
Bat Speed Elite is open to softball players 8 years old and up who are serious about improving their hitting performance and want to gain a measurable advantage at the plate.

Benefits of Bat Speed Elite
  • Increase bat speed
  • Improve exit velocity
  • Develop rotational power
  • Enhance swing efficiency
  • Track measurable progress over time

Bat Speed? Exit Velocity? What's the difference?
Bat Speed is simply the speed of the bat at the moment of impact of it hitting the ball.
Exit Velocity is the speed of the ball as it exits the bat.
Result: Faster bat speed leads to more hard hit balls and a higher ball exit velocity, which in turn, increases the chance for the ball to result in a hit.

Program Details:

The Line Training is excited to announce our new overload and underload training to increase bat speed & exit velocity through our 6 week course.

We will be using the Bat Speed Recon device to measure your bat speed. The Bat Speed Recon is the most reliable and most recognized device for recording bat speed.

Increasing overall bat speed, regardless of the player and the level they play at will never hinder performance. A common misconception is bat speed training will hurt a player's mechanics, which is false. Training to increase bat speed can often result in a direct improvement of mechanics as the body wants to self-organize itself into the strongest and fastest positions and movements possible.

Developing bat speed doesn't just come from doing an endless amount of drills at home, but rather it is developed much more effectively and efficiently through a specialized training program, accurate feedback to track progress, and is done with a high level of focus on Overload and Underload training.

You can’t train for increased exit velocity without training for increased bat speed, Exit velocity is a subset of bat speed.

Testimonials

Yes she’s definitely improved. She was a strong contact hitter before but now, this class has definitely increased her power. She has moved to the number 4 spot and is batting greater than 500 average now. She’s making doubles and triples where before she was mostly singles. This extra power has helped find more gaps in the outfield and most of all, she’s more confident!

Just want to compliment you on your speed classes. My hitters who take it are hitting so much harder.
